Sports and Physical Education

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS

SPORTSMANSHIP
Integrity, sportsmanship, and perseverance are just a few of the lessons reinforced through participating in Severn’s Middle School athletic program. Seventh- and eighth-grade students have the opportunity to participate in competitive sports, gaining experience and new skills and also as preparation for sports in the Upper School. Practices are held during the last period of the day. Teams compete against other middle schools locally and in surrounding areas.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

OPPORTUNITY
All Severn sixth-graders take Physical Education (PE) classes, where they are introduced to the sports that are available to them in their second and third years in Middle School. Physical Education classes are also offered to seventh- and eighth-graders during the winter and spring seasons.
