Jim Newell '03

Jim Newell is a political reporter for Slate magazine. He has done spurts covering midterm and presidential elections, Congress, and various political movements, taking him on reporting trips throughout the country and keeping him quite busy. He has a prolific body of work and has also written for Salon, the New Republic, the Daily Beast, Bookforum, the New York Observer and elsewhere. Jim graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 with an English degree, and currently resides with his fiancee, Tierney, in Washington D.C.
