Breakwater, Severn’s A Cappella Group, Releases New EP
Wilted, Breakwater’s latest release is now streaming on all major music platforms.
The new EP from Severn’s award-winning a cappella group features three tracks, one of which was arranged by Severn student Fletcher Warner ’26.
The tracks included are:

Wiltedfeatures the vocals of Alex Baker ’26, Annie Campion, Ben Campion ’24, Caden Schnabel, Casey Boyle ’27, Ella Smith ’27, Emily Leach ’24, Fletcher Warner, Giselle Randall ’27, Matthew Fisher ’25, Olivia Jishi, Paisley Pentecost ’25, Reese Wicker ’26, and Sean Ward ’24.
Breakwater worked with Jill Clark Productions to record, edit, and mix the album. Eric Scholz Productions mastered the final EP.
Breakwater co-directors Rob Redei and Kirsten Brandler led students through the entire process, helping them to learn the songs and to perform with energy and emotion during the recording sessions.
Breakwater’s first EP, Clarity, was released in October 2022, and was nominated for a CARA (Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards) Award for Best Scholastic Debut Album in 2022 – a category that includes collegiate groups as well as high school. Clarity was the runner-up. The vocal group’s follow-up album, Breathe, was released in October 2023. Breathe earned 3 CARA nominations and one track – “Alive” – was selected for inclusion on the 2024 Best of High School A Cappella (BOHSA) album.
Breakwater is one of several vocal groups at Severn School. Between classes, clubs, and performance groups, the thriving Arts Department in the Upper School has a wide range of offerings in music (instrumental and vocal), theater and the visual arts.
